So.... Third time here, really want to like it, but.... It's always disappointing. Starting with the good. The ambience is pretty great - tables nicely spaced, lighting is great. The bar is better than average It's the menu that disappoints. It's confused, doesn't really have a theme, and about 50% of the food is really pretty bad. Tonight we each had a terrible salad (mine had cold, soggy greens, and if the promised pears were part of it, I missed them; hers I didn't try, but she pushed it around her plate and left most of it, and she was starving coming into the restaurant). My main, a fennel sausage pizza, was pretty good.Like I said, third visit, third pretty disappointing. Maybe the right call is stick to the pizzas and the bar. Is strongly advise against the salads.

Good selection of craft beers. After 11pm, they keep serving pizza. The pizza is quite good.

Unexpectedly delicious. Cocktails are unique and perfectly balanced and the pizza is great. Everything seems just a bit over priced but I would go back and recomend it. Service was very good even when we stayed passed closing.

Good for pizza and their pancake is out of the world. Prairie fire also has a good selection of draft beers. The oysters are okay.

Met the owners Dad on an airplane and knew I just had to go after hearing how much love and attention to detail went into creating this place. Great spot for delicious drinks, pizzas and brunch!

Sharing a pizza and a salad here is the perfect lunch. The wood-fired pizza crust is chewy and the sauce is slightly sweet. Sit at the bar to watch the pizza being prepared and then fired in the brick oven. The space is bright and clean and friendly staff gives it a casual, neighborhood vibe.

Great experience. Interesting menu. I liked the potato agnolotti and market greens. The chocolate mousse bar was a great dessert. Very helpful and friendly service!

The Chicken & Pork meatballs might be the best I've ever had. Light, juicy, intense flavor. If I became a vegetarian I would miss these! Their pizza is also incredible. Sourdough crust that's proofed for 2 days. I had the white pizza this time having tried the fennel sausage version the previous visit. I have no complaints about this one but the previous is preferred. My only wish is that they offered one or two more varieties like gorgonzola or pistachio.Last but by no means least, the service is exceptional. I felt like I was hanging out by a fire drinking Scotch with friends.

Great service. This was my first time eating here and i went with the highly recommended pizza. It was excellent. Well balanced flavor on the fennel sausage pie and the white pizza with anchovie was outstanding. Nice beer selection and IC and PEI oysters! How can you go wrong?

If the service would have been even average, the rating would have been 5-stars! Horrible service from a bartender/server... and she was even training someone. I had to flag her down every time I wanted something: a menu, a drink, place a food order, get another glass of wine, etc. And, on top of everything, she forget to put my main order in and had to ask me again what I ordered. Never apologized for the miscues, owned up to it or anything. Just, what she thought was a benign ask of, "What did you order again? * BTW, she never said thank you until I paid the bill. Hopefully, she thanked the cooks for all the food she ate in the back! I had a direct line of sight to the kitchen. 😂

This place was a home run right from the start. We walked in (3 adults, 2 rowdy toddlers) and they were all smiles. The drinks were on point, the food was just perfect, and the service was impeccable. Will be back many times over! Thanks for a special night.

My first time at Prairie fire for their Sunday brunch but it won’t be my last. Spectacular innovative choices on the menu. The oysters were the finest I’ve had in years—they came from Barnstable. The salmon toast was absolutely delicious and the service was first rate. I recommend Prairie Fire with no hesitation whatsoever five stars—What a refreshing place to have a meal!

Great impression both times I've visited. They're good at what they do. Relatively small menu that seems perfected. Easy to wrack up a bill but where isn't when there's great beer on tap? Relaxed but popular.

The beer selection was good and unusual - multiple tasty brews I'd never heard of before. The menu is a little odd (olive oil ice cream, squid ink galore), but everything we had was tasty (I went with the flatbread pizza - hold the tentacles).

Great neighborhood restaurant. Feels more upscale than the little competition it has in the area. Location is great - steps away from Coolidge Corner and the T-stop.The food itself is consistently excellent - it may be on the simpler side, but the taste makes up for this - everything I have tried, has been delicious. They have pizzas (Neapolitan style), fresh made pastas, appetizers and a rotation of specials. There are cocktails, wine and beer on tap, so nothing is missing. Service is great, ambiance is fitting. Have to mention the centerpiece - the wood burning oven that is quite the sight and is being very well utilized for various dishes.I have been here more than a few times and have found that my favorite spot is at the bar, close to the oven. The bar area is wide and comfortable and I get to watch my food being prepared and occasionally lose myself staring at the fire in the oven...This place has been a great and much needed addition to the area.

Some very original and interesting food items here. The pizzas are wood fire cooked. Everything tastes fresh and on point. Good cocktails too. However, the cocktails are a little too pricey for the portions that they provide.Quaint place for a date overall.

Might be the best meal we've ever had! Fennel sausage pizza and roast chicken - they sound simple, until you've had them at Prarie Fire. Absolutely amazing food, and the service was great as well. Shout out to cooks David and Nick! We'll definitely be back!

I'm visiting from NY and.was craving pizza. After a most disgusting experience elsewhere, we decided to try this neighborhood place. The atmosphere was lively, high tops, booths, banquettes, a bright wood fired oven visible behind the bar. The bread was to die for--a coarsely salted crust, a spongy, dense crumb. We shared roasted brussels sprouts serves in a small cast iron skillet with charred buckwheat adding a smoky taste and bone marrow rounding out the flavor. The grilled octopus was perfectly cooked though the beans that formed the base could have used more robust seasoning. The pizza was okay, but remember, I'm from New York. The sauce was excellent, not sweet like the other one we'd had. The top crust was nicely risen and lightly burned but for some reason, Boston seems.to cook their pizza on a wire grid, preventing the bottom crust from crisping. Nevertheless, we polished it off.

The food was very good. The service was slow, lacked connection and communication. The server was very rude, constantly confused and challenged me twice. Very unprofessional and I left upset that we picked this restaurant for a birthday celebration.

What a peculiar place So I came earlier in the week (I'm here on business and it's close to my hotel). My halibut was a bit overcooked but barely warm. I ate it anyway. Not bad. Not great. So so. Came back tonight (it's still close to my hotel) and honestly- I regret it. I was at the bat where the wood fired pizza, beans and other food come out. The meatballs had a nice flavour but were also tepid and when I asked the guy at the oven if he could pop it back in for a bit more heat he said 'no I can't' and walked away. The lady next to me helpfully said it was probably a health and safety issue. But zero interest or helpfulness from the guy I spoke to. And still cold meatballs. Lady next to me asked for oil and vinegar for her salad and was told they had no vinegar. In the entire restaurant. Huh? The butter that came with the bread tasted rancid.Shame. It could have been a great experience. The 2 women who waited on me were very nice but they couldn't make up for the rest...

A fantastic place that has become my favorite wood fired pizza in Boston. Great selection of beers that change from time to time. The selection avoids name brands in favor of delishious options that don't break the bank either. You may ask to taste if you're unsure about a particular one. Excellent service and the focused menu shows (to me) that they're serious about delivering quality food every single time. Yet to be disappointed!!! My favorite spot to stop for a drink in Coolidge Corner, the atmosphere is pleasant and not loud.

Heads up!!! Pizza burnt. Margarita didn’t taste like a margarita. Grossly over-priced. Steak portion was soooo small—half of what a normal steak serving is but FULL PRICE. Also drinks were SMALL yet priced at regular sized drink rates. Ridiculous. Waste of money. Won’t be returning.

This is the best restaurant in Boston. Ever-changing menu that always impresses. Professional yet down-to-earth staff with nice reccos. And a slick atmospheric vibe that feels both modern and right at home in the kitchen. Definitely check this spot out.

We ate here for Sunday around 2pm. We got a mid day menu and it was priced in between brunch and dinner. The portion for appetizers was so so small. We ordered meatballs and delicata squash on the menu. We got 3 meatballs(literally 3) and like 6 thin squash slices to share for 3 people. And our server was keep changing and the waiting time for everything was long. Overall it was unexpected pricey considering the portion size and a chaotic experience. Also they charge you for toasted bread at $1 which every other restaurants serve at no cost.

One of the best restaurants in the Boston area. The halibut gave me an umami high. The house-made chips are incredible. The wood-fired pizza is also pretty good. It has quickly become a personal favorite.
